Beginning a new chapter

It's been too long since I wrote in the Diary. So much has happened in last 2 years. My baby has turned into a little girl right in front of my eyes and I can hardly believe it. Jasmine is sweet, thoughtfull, intelligent and kind. I love the way she gets upset and sits on the stairs until I go and get her. Or the way she says " daddy, I only put on lip gloss ok". How quickly the time has passed? Jasmine is now actually the big sister, thanks to Sophia and Sarina. These girls have already have a perfect role model to follow as they grow up. I am sure Jasmine will teach them all her ways to make sure they get what they want. I am truly blessed.

Million Dollar Smile

My Princess Beauty,

Anytime I see this smile my heart melts and I instantly want to kiss you a thousand times. My cutie pie, you are the sweetest little girl. As I watch you curiously observing, learning, playing I realize that these precious moments will never come back; I desperately try to seal them into my mind and record even the most seemingly trivial events. We love you so much.

See you soon, Mommy!

My little Shona, you are six months old already and such a sweetheart! You are sitting up by yourself, playing with your toys, enjoying fruits, rice cereal and other goodies. You brighten the house with your beautiful smile, and when you break into your delightful babytalk, we can't help but try to have a conversation with you. We all do whatever it takes to see that smile of yours, and if we are lucky enough (or funny enough), we can get you to laugh. And your laughter is heavenly. . .
This is a picture of you on one of those difficult Monday mornings when I leave for work. Your angelic face carries me through the weeks, and I always remember your sweet smile and our quality playtime and sleepy time together whenever I need to. And when I return, I always wonder if your face has changed, if you learned any new tricks and of course, whether or not you'll recognize Mommy. . . and you always do. Kisses times infinity, cutie!

Cutie in the Crib

Aww, my little Shona, entertained by the mobile above your crib . . . Everything is so fresh, so fascinating through your eyes. And I am completely mesmerized by those sparkling eyes of yours - not only do they beam with innocence and curiosity, they are speaking a sweet, secret language. I wish I knew what you were thinking and feeling, but I am more than happy to just stand there and watch you experience the world - and yes, I can do that for hours on end! Don't worry, Mommy and Daddy know you need to see new places and new faces, so we won't hear a big fat "waah" the next time we take you to the mall:) Everything you do is so adorable, every little thing you do is magic . . .

I've just had my first weekend without seeing you and it was hard. I kept looking at your pictures on my Blackberry (great gift from Daddy). I love talking to you, singing to you over the phone . . . sometimes you become quiet and I imagine that you recognize my voice. Would you believe that crazy Mommy sings to you up here in Massachusetts - when you're not even here? Every morning on the way to work it's: "Jasmine shona, choto shona . . . " Miss you and can't wait to hold you in my arms!

Adorable

At 2 months, Jasmine is now 10lbs 8oz and 21 inches. She loves to look at faces , smiles and play in her crib, especially with the bears circling over her. She is so adorable. She took a ride up to Worchester, MA last week to be with Mom for her first week back to work. It was too cold up there. For now, Jasmine is going to live with Dad and grandparents for a few months until the weather gets warm. Jasmine misses her Mom, of course, and can't wait to see her every weekend. In the meantime, she has dada, dadi, nani mummy and nani papa to play with.
